Thank you to all who attended our October PTO meeting! 

Some key highlights:

    • Halloween Costume Swap on Wednesday, October 16th from 2:40 to 4:30pm. Need a Halloween Costume? Come by and pick up a costume or accessory. Free Halloween Trick or Treat bags will be given out while supplies last! Check out the flyer.
    • Room parents have been notified and there is an information meeting Wednesday, October 16th at 6:30pm via Zoom.
    • There will be a “Fun Day” for students on Friday October 25th. This is a half day and volunteers will be needed.
    • The PTO Trunk or Treat is Sunday October 27th from 2-4pm. Get your tickets and join us! There is also a Candy Monster in the school lobby if people want to donate candy to the Trunk or Treat. This is completely optional, but if you choose to donate, you can fill out the form attached and tape it to your donated bag and you will be entered to win a gift card to The Stones!

Committees:

    • We will be hosting a Fantastic Book Fair this spring and supporting our local Book Oasis. Lisa Mashburn was voed in as Book Fair Chair and will be helping to coordinate the event.
    • Halloween Trunk or Treat! Based on feedback from the community the Trunk or Treat will be held on Sunday October 27 from 2-4pm in the afternoon to ensure safety in the daylight. Corinne Prigo and Amanda Tsapastaris have graciously volunteered to help run this and are doing a fantastic job. We have 18 cars registered! Please consider volunteerting or donating to the candy monster. 

Fundraising:

    • Rebecca’s Nut Free Cookies: Thank you Tiffany for chairing this! We broke our record of 190 boxes and sold 193! We raised over $1700! Cookies will be available for pick up on Wednesday, 10/16.
    • Calaresso’s: We will be selling gift certificates in $10 increments and get $2.50 back for each one. The sale will be Sep 30-Oct 18and the certificates will go home on Friday Oct 25 and/or Monday Oct 28.
    • Spirit Wear: Geat from our September sale will be distributed the week of 10/14 or 10/21. We are finalizing with our vendor and will announce soon. Keep an eye out for another pop-up in early November to ensure holiday delivery!
    • Mabel’s Label’s: Get your personalized labels for all your kids school or sports gear! We get 20% back from all purchases (make sure you choose Robin Hood PTO).
    • Box Tops for Education: Please sign up for the app using our referral code SDJU8V1M and follow along on facebook for any monthly bonus deals! Any one can sign up and use the app
    • Dave and Busters: In November we will be selling $10 and $20 Power Cards which can be used in their arcade. We get back 50% of the money and these could be great Holiday gifts or Birthday gifts!

Community Awareness:

    • The PTO will be hosting our annual coat drive with Anton’s cleaners. This will be held from October 7th to January 5th. There will be a collection box in the lobby of Robin Hood to donate coats. We are looking for adult and children size warm winter coats. Coats are cleaned by Anton’s Cleaners and made available to a network of over 90 distribution partners made up of local nonprofits, social service agencies, and schools to ensure the coats are given to those who really need them free of charge. The flyer with details can be found here and will also be sent home in students take home folders . 
    • The annual food drive will be from October 30th to November 7th! We will be collecting specific foods per grades if possible, a flyers with details will be distributed.

SEPAC:

SEPAC is looking for a Robin Hood liason if there is interest in volunteering and supporting the organization. If interested please reach out at Kyla Maladi.
